Tianjin Train

Tianjin has quite a few passenger transport railway stations, the largest four of which are the Tianjin Railway Station (East Station), the West Station, the North Station, and the South Station. Besides, Tanggu Station located in the Binhai New District and close to Xingang Port, and Wuqing and Junliangcheng North Station provide intercity train service to Beijing South Station.

Tianjin Railway Station
Located at No.1, Xinwei Road, Hebei District, in the city center area, this Railway Station is the largest and most important in the city. There are over 300 pairs of scheduled trains coming and going there. Transit from this station reaches more than forty cities in China including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an, Harbin, Jilin, Taiyuan, Datong, Luoyang, and Qinhuangdao. It is a real time-saver to take the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity High Speed Train from here to the Beijing South Railway Station. The duration is only about thirty minutes for a single trip. It is very convenient to travel between this station and other places around the city by metro, bus or taxi.

Tianjin Railway StationWest Railway Station
First built in August 1909, it was reconstructed and reopened on June 30, 2011. Covering an area of 680,000 square meters, it is located at No. 87, Xima Road, Beiyingmen, Hongqiao District. It is a modern transportation hub with the highest level of amenities in Tianjin City. It mainly serves Jinpu (Tianjin-Pukou) Rail, and Jinghu (Beijing-Shanghai) High-Speed Rail. In the future, it will be the intersection of Jingjin Intercity Rail, Jinghu High-Speed Rail, Jinbao (Tianjin-Baoding) Rail, and Jinqin (Tianjin-Qinhuangdao) Rail. Trains run here daily to many cities such as Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shijiazhuang, Yantai, Wenzhou, Fuzhou, and Changchun.

This station has two buildings and includes an integrating ticket hall, a waiting hall, a baggage check-in hall, and underground connection squares. There are ten ticket windows and twenty-four platforms. Passengers can also find long-distance bus and public bus terminus, and large parking lots at the station. Take bus nos. 10, 24, 31, 52, 153, 161, 601, 651, 661, 688, 810, 15, 683, 687, 829, 904, 635, 840, 503, 652, or 806 to reach the station. A public bus and a high-speed rail line (No.718) run to the South Railway Station. Currently, the No. 1 metro line has a stop here. In the future, the planned metro line 4 and 6 will stop at this station. 

South Railway Station
High-Speed TrainLocated at Zhangjiawo Town, Xiqing District, the South Railway Station became operational on June 30, 2011, along with the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Rail. This station is the second stop from Beijing to Shanghai. There are sixty pairs of trains running via this station to other cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hefei, Fuzhou, Jinan, and Qingdao.

Built as an elevated station, the building combines many passenger transport services and facilities including a distribution hall, ticket hall, waiting hall, and, of course, platforms. The waiting hall has a capacity of one-thousand passengers. There are also eight ticket vending machines at the station. Tickets for departing trains are available on those ticket vending machines. Passengers can also get their tickets from the ticket vending machines after booking online or by telephone. Take metro line 3 from Tianjin Railway Station to reach here. Bus No. 707 can take passengers from Haiguang Temple to get here. Additionally, passengers can reach here from West Station by taking metro line 6 and line 3 with a transit in Hongqi Road.

North Railway Station
The North Station was built in 1903 and is located at Zhongshan Road, Hebei District,  at the intersection of Jingshan (Beijing-Shanhaiguan) Rail and Jinpu Rail. It is also the starting point of the Jinpu Rail Line. There are eighteen pairs of trains running every day to cities including Beijing, Jixian, Tangshan, Taiyuan, Datong, Shijiazhuang, and Qinghecheng . It is easy to reach by bus nos. 622, 670, 671, 818, 1, 22, 27, 609, 619, 641, 646, 869, 901, 903, 908, Passenger Transport Line 16, or the Junjie Special Line. Currently, metro line 3 goes through here. Furthermore, metro lines 6 and Z2 will stop here in the future.

Binhai Railway Station
It is a large underground railway station in the financial area of Binhai New District in Tianjin. It mainly operates inter-city high speed trains to/from Beijing. From here, one can walk to Yujiapu Financial Zone in about 10 minutes.

Tanggu Railway Station
With Tianjin - Shanhaiguan Railway and Beijing - Tianjin Intercity Railway passing through this Railway Station, Tanggu Railway Station in Binhai New Area is a gateway to northeast and north China. It operates normal speed and high speed trains to/from Tianjin, Beijing, Qinhuangdao, Shanhaiguan, Harbin, Dalian, etc.
