Taipei Weather in June

June is the beginning of summer in Taipei. Generally, Taipei temperature in June fluctuates between 25 - 37 ℃ (77 - 98.6 ℉) and the Taipei weather in June is very hot. The monsoon continues to attack coastal areas in Taipei in June, and the thunderstorms frequently occur. However, showers help to cool the city down a bit but make the Taipei June weather wet.

In most years, the Dragon Boat Festival falls in June, so various celebrations in the city are additional choices besides the tourist attractions. June is an off-peak season, making it much easier to find cheap accommodation and hotel.
  Taipei in June welcomes hot weather and heavy rainfall, so wear light, thin and breathable clothes that dry quickly. For ladies, dress or short sleeved blouses plus shorts are enough. For men, a pair of shorts and a piece of vest or T-shirt will be comfortable to wear in Taipei in June. Remember to keep some extra clothes in case you get caught in the rain. Sandals or flip-flops will be better if you go to beaches, and you should wear the waterproof shoes for city sightseeing. If feasible, take a raincoat or an umbrella with you while traveling.
 
 A great quantity of rain and the soaring temperature in Taipei in June make most outdoor activities unpleasant! However, there are still plenty of things to do in Taipei. June marks the start of the Xia-Hai City God Cultural Festival. Head to the Xiahai City God Temple to watch the ceremony and rituals of City God's birthday, and take participate in a series of entertainment. To escape the summer heat, you could go to explore the Taipei National Palace Museum which is equipped with air-conditioners. After the sun sets, go to one of the many night markets to savor various local food and snacks.

The annual event - Dragon Boat Festival is usually in June, which is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals in Taipei. Locals will race out in dragon boats in memory of the great poet Qu Yuan. The best place to watch the dragon boat race is Dajia Riverside Park in Taipei, and if interested, you can apply to participate in the races.
 1. Because of the hot June Taipei weather, you’re advised to start the outdoor sightseeing in the early morning and stay indoor around noon.

2. In early summer, the sunlight can be very strong on sunny days, so do prepare some sunscreen cream, lotion and heatstroke preventive.
