Hanoi Weather in February

February in Hanoi is still in cool season but it is coming to an end. Compared with January, the Hanoi weather in February is warmer as its average temperature ranges from 15-22℃(59-72℉). Though the humidity is gradually increasing to about 80% and there are about 10 rainy days on average in this month, the city doesn’t have too much rainfall. The precipitation is still below 30mm. In February, Hanoi also receives more sunlight. Anyway, the cool weather and bright sunshine make it one of the best times for visitors to travel. Apart from that, February offers a good chance to experience Vietnamese local culture as several important traditional festivals fall in, including the most favorable one, Vietnamese New Year.

 

The weather is still pretty cool in early and mid-February, and the temperature is lower in the morning and evening, so it is recommended to prepare some warm clothes including sweaters, baseball jackets, and trousers. But on some shiny days, the temperature is a little higher and wearing long-sleeve shirts and thin knitwear will be comfortable. Sneakers or casual shoes can be favorable for your Hanoi trip in February.

The best place to enjoy the jollification of Tet is Hanoi Old Town Quarter where you can see many locals shuttling in a hurry on the streets to prepare for the New Year and you may witness celebratory fireworks nearby. In February, another festival you should not miss is Co Loa Festival held at An Duong Vuong Temple, which starts from the 6th day to the 16th day of the first lunar month.
