What-to-wear in February of Thailand

Summer clothes is the first choice in February of Thailand. It is recommended to choose thin trousers, shorts, mini-skirts, vacation dress, T-shirts made from flax or cotton. To deal with the high UV index, l, straw hat and sun-proof clothing are also essentials. If you would like to visit the forest or waterfall in the northern mountainous zone, don’t forget to bring a jacket to deal with the cool weather in the mountains. 
Tip: In Thailand, wearing camisoles, off-shoulders, shorts and other revealing clothes is not allowed during your visit in the temples and palaces. Thus you need to prepare a thin cardigan or shawl, which can also be worn indoors with air conditioners.
           

Best Travel Destinations in Thailand in February

Chiang Mai

As the temperature is getting hotter and hotter in February, it is better to visit Chiang Mai in north Thailand. This city has lower temperature and quieter atmosphere than Bangkok. Tha Phae Gate, the relics of ancient Chiang Mai city wall, is a must-visit. Besides that, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is one of the most famous temples there, where you could have an overlook of the whole Chiang Mai city, and join special activities on Makha Bucha Day, which will be on February 12th in 2025. What’s more, Chiang Mai Flower Festival is celebrated for various blossoms in February. The colorful flower parade, traditional Thai music and dance and local food can’t be ignored on this festival.
 

Koh Samui

Koh Samui is a quiet island with new-moon-like beach, shining blue sea, and fresh green coconut forests. The pleasant sea temperature in March allows you to enjoy all kinds of water activities on this island, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, canoeing, surfing, swimming and taking boat out to the sea to visit other surrounding small islands. At Chaweng Beach on Koh Samui, just enjoy the white sand and clear water in daylight, and the fervent Coco Tams Fire Show and barbeque at night. Moreover, having an intimate contact with elephants at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Samui is also a good choice.
 

Tip

If you are a fan of tropical fruit like guava, mangosteen or pineapple, you cannot miss Thai fruits in February. You can find the special fruit trolley everywhere on the street. The vendors wash, peel and chop all kind of fruits then nicely put them into the glass cabinet. You can conveniently buy fresh and inexpensive fruits there.
