Attraction Expedition to Henan Province

Sector leaders of TravelChinaGuide's sales department went on an expedition tour to some cities in Henan Province in mid-June. The itinerary covered the most well-known attractions in this region, such as the Shaolin Temple, Songshan Mountain, the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple, truely the highlights of Henan.

Xi'an has convenient high-speed trains to Zhengzhou (2-2.5 hours) and Luoyang (1.5-2 hours), made traveling quite convenient. To make the most of their time in Shaolin, the expedition group trekked the hilly path from the Pagoda Forest at the temple to the cable station which leads to the Sanhuangzhai Scenic Area of Songshan Mountain. The Songshan Plank Road, a narrow way hanging over the mountain rock, is an exciting must see place. Generally, we suggest at least two days for an extensive tour of Shaolin and Songshan. The Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple can be visited from Luoyang. Longyang's high-speed bullet train stops in Longmen area. There are direct public buses from the city center to both sites and you can get from one to the other by city bus or taxi. It costs about CNY 60 by taxi. If you have a tight schedule, they can be visited in one day.

At TravelChinaGuide we survey  all our itineraries personally. Our top-quality services are your assurance of hassle-free China tours. Click for well-arranged Luoyang Tours and Zhengzhou Tours.

TravelChinaGuide arranges a training tour for company staff to the Yangtze River in late spring or summer almost every year. This year, the trip took place in May, and traveled downstream from Chongqing to Yichang for three days on the ship President No.2.

Actually, the real trip was longer than three days. After a night train from Xi'an to Chongqing, the company staff arrived at Chongqing in the morning. On the way to Chaotianmen Dock, they visited the business center, the Liberation Monument area, and took the cable car to across the Yangtze River. They also visited Huangya Cave which has the most Chongqing featured pillar-supported wooden buildings.

The cruise began at 22:00 the same day and docked at Fengdu Ghost City the next morning. The cruise ship passed the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. On the final morning, they visited the Three Gorges Dam Site and the museum. It brought a happy end to the cruise tour, which terminated at Yichang City.

As one of the latest cruise fleets, the President Series ship always provided good services, including  expertly prepared dinners, welcoming parties and so on. For details about any aspects of the Yangtze River Cruise, TravelChinaGuide would like to offer many suggestions plus a Yangtze River Cruise booking service.

The staff members assembled at the group entrance at 10am. With the help of the maps given by working staff at the expo park, our staff members traveled freely throughout the expo. The Chang'an Tower, Theme Pavilion, Greenhouse and Guangyun Gate are the main areas. The five major horticultural spots include the Chang'an Flower Valley, Colorful Plants from the Qinling Mountains, Flowers along the Silk Road, Overseas collections and Flower Rainbow by the Bahe River. The Romance by the Bahe River, Southeast Asian Street and European Avenue are services areas offering restaurants, banking and post office services. To avoid long time walk inside the large garden, some staff members rented bicycles or took electric cars.

For tourists who plan to visit the expo park, TravelChinaGuide wants to remind you that the nightscape there is fascinating and there are parades before dark. It is better to avoid the crowds in weekends and holidays. The park has different exits leading to taxi, car and city bus parking lots.
