Day 2 Lhasa
Our clients visiting the Potala Palace
We will start this 4 days' Lhasa small group tour itinerary with the Potala Palace, which is the highest palace above the sea level in the world. It consists of the Red Palace in the center and White Palace as its wings. The Red Palace is where important religious rituals and ceremonies take place while the White Palace serves as the living place for Dalai Lama.

In the afternoon, we will continue our tour to the Jokhang Temple, which was built in the mid-seventh century with the statue of Sakyamuni at age 12 enshrined there. After visiting the temple, you will go shopping around the nearby Barkor Street with the company of our guide to buy some Tibetan-style and religious souvenirs.

At night, a welcome dinner with authentic local dishes will be served at a famous local restaurant.

Sera Monastery
Today, you will be accompanied to visit two monasteries in the suburb Lhasa, named Drepung and Sera. Drepung Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist site in the world with white building complex leaning against the sloping hillside. Sera Monastery houses tens of thousands of Buddhist figures and plenty of murals. The most distinctive scene there is the debating of Buddhist Doctrines, which is generally held during 15:30 - 17:00 from Monday to Saturday in the courtyard.
