Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa
After getting out of Lhasa Airport or train station, you will be met by our professional guide and then be escorted to the hotel for check-in. For the rest of the day, we highly suggest you have some rest at the hotel to get used to the high altitude.

Day 2 Lhasa
Potala Palace
After breakfast, our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the Potala Palace, the first destination of this Lhasa to Everest Base Camp group tour. It was founded in the seventh century, and now becomes a place for Dalai Lama to live and handle religious and administrative affairs. In the afternoon, we will continue our Lhasa small group tour to the Jokhang Temple, which is the holiest site of the Tibetan Buddhism with a history of over 1,300 years. After that, our guide will show you around the Barkor Street where you can buy some handicrafts of local features.
You will have a welcome dinner at a renowned local restaurant this night to have a taste of typical Tibetan flavor.

Day 3 Lhasa
Tibetan people
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Drepung Monastery by a comfortable drive. Seen from afar, this grand white building complex is like a giant pile of rice leaning against the hillside. You can have a full view of the Lhasa City when climbing to the top. After visiting there, we will continue our Tibet small group tour to the Sera Monastery, which was built in 1419 and still preserves ancient murals and tens of thousands of Buddha statues. The debate of Buddhist doctrines is the other highlight of Sera Monastery, which usually takes place during 15:30 - 17:00 from Monday to Saturday.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse
After breakfast, our guide and driver will come to get you at the hotel lobby, and then we will head for the second biggest city in Tibet - Shigatse. During the journey, we will pass by the sapphire-like Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and the pure Kharola Glacier. We will stop by at the famous Kumbum Monastery in Gyangtse in the midway. After another 1.5-hour drive, we will reach Shigatse and check in at the local hotel.

Day 5 Shigatse - Lhatse - Everest Base Camp (5200m)
Rongbuk Monastery, Shigatse
Today, we will drive along the Friendship Way westwards from Shigatse to Everest Base Camp via Lhatse. Before leaving Shigatse, we will pay a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the living place of Panchen Lama after the 4th Panchen (1567 - 1662) took charge of the temple. It also enshrines the largest copper Buddha statue in the world with a height of 26.2 meters (86 feet). Then we will continue our trip to Lhaste where you may have a featured local meal for lunch on your own, and our guide is willing to give you some suggestions.
After that, we will proceed to Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, passing by the Tsola Pass with an altitude of 4,600 meters (15,091 feet) and Gyatsola Pass with an altitude of 5,248 meters (17,217 feet), and then arrive at Everest Base Camp finally. What's more, if time and weather permit, you will have chance to enjoy the sunset of golden Everest Peak at the camp.

After that, we will proceed to Mt. What's more, if time and weather permit, you will have chance to enjoy the sunset of golden Everest Peak at the camp.

Day 6 Everest Base Camp (E.B.C) - Rongbuk Monastery - Shigatse
This morning, we will get up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Mt. Everest near the camp if the weather is clear. After that, the guide will lead you to the Rongbuk Monastery, located at an altitude of 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) at the foot of the Mt. Everest.
When today's Mt. Everest exploration is over, we will drive back to Shigaste to stay overnight.
Tips: Due to the limited conditions, meals are not provided at tents or hostels near the E.B.C, but you can buy some food at the nearby booths and the average cost for a meal is CNY 30-50 per person.

When today's Mt. Everest exploration is over, we will drive back to Shigaste to stay overnight.

Day 7 Shigatse to Lhasa

Today, we will drive back to the hotel in Lhasa for your leaving flight or train on the next day. Although the transfer takes about 5-6 hours, the fantastic landscapes along the way will make your journey pleasant and enjoyable.

Day 8 Departure from Lhasa
Your 1-week Tibet tour package concludes today. Please take your entire luggage to check out the hotel. Our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport or train station. Wish you a nice journey.
