Shanghai Grand Stage (Shanghai Gymnasium)
Shanghai Grand Stage, formerly known as Shanghai Gymnasium or Shanghai Indoor Stadium, is located opposite the famous Huating Hotel in southwest of the city. The Indoor Stadium established in 1975 was once one of the largest gymnasiums in China. In 1999, it was rebuilt and renamed Grand Stage. Besides the large gymnasium, it has also some smaller gymnasiums and stadiums, including a swimming pool, a badminton gymnasium, a pingpong room, a volleyball room, a tennis court and a basketball field. Now Shanghai Grand Stage events include not only sporting events, but also many conferences and performances. Many pop singers prefer to hold their vocal concerts here. The capacity of Shanghai Grand Stage can reach to 12,000 people. Shanghai Grand Stage tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Center of this theatre.

Shanghai Lyceum Theatre
Lyceum Theatre, founded in 1930, was located at Maoming Lu and surrounded by some first-class hotels such as Garden Hotel, Jin Jiang Hotel, etc. It was renamed Shanghai Arts Theatre in 1952 but its original name was restored in 1992. The theatre was rebuilt a few years ago and shown a new unique look to the world. The design of the auditorium is a combination of contemporary nostalgia and Roman architecture of the 18th Century, giving it a feeling of resplendence, magnificence and pageantry. The stage retained the original elegant European architectural style. With a seating capacity of 680, the theatre is suitable for performances of drama or small scale musical and symphony concerts. Lyceum Theatre embodies a comfortable environment and convenient transportation which attracts a lot of visitors home and abroad.
