Xiangxi Biancheng Airport

Xiangxi Biancheng Airport will be the first civil aviation airport in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. According to the plan, it will be opened 2022. After completion, Xiangxi Airport will have a terminal building with about 3,200 square meters, 5 aircraft stands and a runway of 2.6 kilometers (1.5 mile). Xiangxi Airport will mainly serve for the people in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and meanwhile give consideration to the counties and cities at the junction of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou Provinces. Besides, the passenger throughput is estimated to be 300,000 per year and the flights will be about 3,500 per year.

Location: Xiangxi Airport will be located in Laotianping Village, Huayuan Town, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, northwest of Hunan Province. It will be 11 kilometers (7 miles) from downtown Huayuan, 25 kilometers (15 miles) from downtown Baojing, and 28 kilometers (17 miles) from downtown Jishou.
   Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport is around 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the city proper and operates flights to/from domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Nanning, Kunming, Xi'an and Nanjing and some international destinations like Taipei and Busan.
  City Bus/Taxi + Railway
Take city bus line 4 (outer ring) from airport to Guanliping Zhuanpan, then walk to the south for about 10 minutes to Zhangjiajie Railway Station. The bus line operates from 06:10 to 19:30 with a frequency of 10 minutes. The cost is CNY 1 and the duration is about 40 minutes. A taxi to Zhangjiajie Railway Station costs CNY 15-25. After arrival, take trains to Jishou. Here are the information of the trains.

From Jishou Railway Station, passengers can take a taxi or city bus line 1, 5 & 6 to downtown.

City Bus + Intercity Bus
Take bus line 402 at Airport Road and get off at Ganxiqiao which takes about 20 minutes. Then walk to the south for about 15 minutes to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station. Then go to Xiangxi Prefecture buy intercity bus. Information of the intercity buses are as follows.

  Changsha Huanghua International Airport is 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) to the downtown Changsha. It has both domestic flights to cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Sanya, Nanjing, Chongqing, Xiamen, Kunming, Hong Kong, Macau and international flights to Seoul, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.
  Airport Shuttle Bus + Railway
Take Airport Shuttle Bus to Changsha Railway Station directly which takes CNY 18 and about 50 minutes. Then go to Xiangxi by train. Below is the information of trains to Jishou.

Airport Shuttle Bus + Intercity Bus
1. After arriving at Changsha Railway Station by Airport Shuttle Bus, walk north for about 10 minutes to Changzhutan Coach Station. The journey takes about 50 minutes in total and CNY 18. Intercity buses to Xiangxi are as follows.

2. Passengers can go to West Coach Station directly by Airport Shuttle Bus West Coach Station Line. The ticket fare is CNY 30 and it takes about 55 minutes. Then take intercity buses to Xiangxi.
