Acquired as the largest and most advanced airlines in China, Air China Limited was first set up in 1988 and the present company was formed in 2004 by amalgamating with China National Aviation Company and China Southwest Airlines. Its logo is a red phoenix in the shape of ' VIP'. Phoenix is said to be a lucky bird in Chinese legendary which will bring good luck and brightness to the land it flies to. Recognized as the most valuable airlines brand in China, Air China is the only airlines in China that is permitted to carry a national flag on the plane. In addition, Air China is responsible of providing services for foreign visits of Chinese national leaders and special planes for important foreign guests. Headquartered in Beijing, it has seven branches, two bases and several subordinate factories in China. In August, 2004, it was appointed to be the only airline partner of 2008 Beijing Olympics. By the end of December, 2005, Air China has owned 176 Boeing and Air Bus-styled planes which reach 22 countries and regions in the world, including 36 foreign cities and 70 domestic cities with 4,160 scheduled flights every week.

1. Cargo Service
Extensively distributed computer systems and adequate cargo planes make your goods arrive at the destination timely and safely. The freight computer system has a wide coverage from offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian and Tianjin to offices in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt, and Rome etc. Having four 747-400 passenger-cargo mixed aircrafts and 60 B74, B767, A340, the company is sufficiently able of taking your cargo to the destination universally. Furthermore, the company has the management rights of some international cargo air routes from Beijing, Shanghai to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Portland in the USA, Frankfurt in Germany, Paris in France and London of the UK.

2. Unaccompanied Children
This is a new kind service by Air China which enables children travels without accompanies. Any child from 5 to 12 years old can choose this service which greatly relieves worries and burdens of their parents. Every summer and winter holiday, a large member of children benefit from this service.
3. Phones on the Plane
Inserting the SIM card into the phone on the plane, you can get through anywhere in the world. The charge is counted automatically by a computer system. Designed particularly for airborne use, this kind of phone will not disturb the Hertzian waves when flying.
4. New First Class and Business Class
In order to cater to different customers' needs, Air China has improved the first and business class on Boeing 747 and Air Bus 340. With independent cabin shielded by boards, the first class provides you more private space. The seat, can be leveled, presents you a 190 centimeter-long and 70 centimeter-wide bed for rest. Business Class seat boasts an angle of incidence as high as 170. New entertainment system on both classes includes 10.4-inch TV sets, over 60 films, 98 CDs and series of online games. Besides, you don't have to worry about your notebook PC because 100W-multiple-system power connections make it possible to use it on the plane.
