Da Nang Weather in August

In August, the temperature of Da Nang keeps steadily high. The average temperature hovers around 30℃(86℉) and the highest temperature can reach 34℃(93℉). Its lowest average temperature is generally at a level of 25℃(77℉). August is the beginning of Da Nang’s rainy season, so an obvious feature of Da Nang weather in August is a lot of rainfall. The monthly precipitation increases to around 100mm and nearly 10 days have rain. The humidity in August rises a little to around 76%. 

Generally, August is the last month of Vietnam’s domestic peak travel season and there are still a large number of domestic visitors there. So it is not so recommended to visit Da Nang this month. And if visiting, prepare rain gear when doing some outdoor activities.   

 

Visiting Da Nang in August, it is recommended to pack light and airy clothes like cotton and linen T-shirts, breathable shirts, dresses, or light trousers. Sunglasses and hats are needed to protect your skin from strong sun rays. As the rainy season knocks on the door, it is also necessary to prepare a raincoat or an umbrella.

Non Nuoc Beach is optional for those who are looking for some serene and isolated places. Apart from fine beaches, Da Nang features two large Disney-like amusement parks. One is Asia Park which houses many imitated attractions of all Asian countries and the other is located at the top of Ba Na Hills which boasts a super cable car system topping the world. The Dragon Bridge is another landmark of the city where the fire and water show can be expected at night.
