Mumbai Weather in December

Cool / winter season kicks off in Mumbai in December. The weather is warm during the day but cool at night. The average temperature generally ranges between 18-32℃ (64-90℉). This month also sees sparse rainfall with total precipitation of 5 mm and maybe only 1 rainy day can be expected. December could be the driest month of the year, with the low humidity of 57%. 

In general, December’s fine weather makes it one of the most perfect times to visit Mumbai. More and more visitors are attracted from all over the world during the Christmas and New Year holidays, when prices for accommodations and flight ticket fares will both increase.     

 

If visiting Mumbai in December, travelers are recommended to prepare some light and airy clothes to wear in midday, and thicker clothes are needed for cool mornings and chill nights. In the daytime, wearing shirts, blouses, or thin hoodies is reasonable. But when night comes, sweaters, jackets, and trench coats are very necessary to prevent cool breezes. As for lower parts, jeans and sweat pants are recommended.
