Siem Reap Weather in August

Siem Reap weather in August is a little hot with the average temperature of 28℃(82℉). Generally, the highest temperature peaks at 31℃(88℉) on average while the lowest one reduces to 26℃(79℉) at night. August sees a lot of rainfall and the rainfall accumulates to around 246mm from 22 rainy days. The humidity keeps a relatively high level, around 75%. 

Because of the much rainfall, travelers who plan to visit Siem Reap this month are recommended to arrange their schedules properly. Put the temple visits ahead of other things and better in the morning.  

 

In August, with the mild and rainy weather, the clothes you should prepare include short-sleeve T-shirts, polo shirts, dresses, and light trousers. Please note that when visiting temples, you need to cover your shoulders and knees. Quick drying clothes are recommended for rainy days and sometimes a thin coat or jacket may be needed in the early morning or late evening.
