Day 01: Visit Terracotta Army Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall, Muslim Bazaar

Welcome to take this 2 days Xi'an group tour! In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at the appointed time. The guide will contact you one night before to confirm the exact meeting time. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We promise to be at your back 24 hours.
9:00 Drive to Visit the Terracotta Army Museum
After picking up the mini group members, we will head to the magnificent Terracotta Army Museum by a comfortable drive for about 1 hour. The Terracotta Army Museum, a symbol of the ancient China's splendid civilization, is crowned as "the eighth wonder of the world". Upon arrival, your guide will accompany you to visit the Pit No. 1, the Pit No. 2, the Pit No. 3 and the Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall one by one. With your guide's vivid narration, this would be an exceptional experience taking you back to the Qin Dynasty 220BC. You will spend 2.5 to 3 hours exploring this museum.

13:00 Free Time for Lunch
To avoid the low quality tourist eateries around the site, we leave today's lunch on your own. You're suggested to have a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning and have a light meal for lunch. Your guide is glad to make recommendations on restaurants nearby.
13:40 Drive to Visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda
One hour's drive will take you back to downtown Xi'an to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is an important symbol of the Buddhist architecture built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD).

16:00 Visit the City Wall
Afterwards we will continue to visit the ancient City Wall of Xi'an. You can take a leisurely walk, ride a bicycle or take a sightseeing cart on the wall, each of which will be enjoyable and interesting. The bike rental fee is CNY45/US$6 for 2 hours and the sightseeing cart is CNY120/US$18 per person per round. You could make a decision on the spot and your guide will make proper arrangements for you.

17:30 Drop Off at Muslim Bazaar or Hotel
After the sightseeing tour, we will accompany you back to your hotel; or if you like, we can transfer you to the Muslim Bazaar and say goodbye there. The left time is all free for you. The Muslim Bazaar is famous for various local foods as well as cheap souvenirs. You can have a stroll there, or walk for a few minutes to the Bell and Drum towers nearby to appreciate the beautiful night views.
Day 02: Visit Hanyangling Mausoleum, Great Mosque, Shaanxi History Museum, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

Hope you have had a good sleep last night! In the morning, your guide and driver will greet you at the hotel lobby on time.
8:30 Drive to Visit the Hanyangling Mausoleum
We will first drive for one hour to the Hanyangling Mausoleum, which was built in 153 AD for the Western Han emperor Liu Qi and his empress. Accompanied by the guide, you will have a close look at the thousand-year-old tombs through the glass floors and the glass walls in the tomb pits. Besides, you will also experience the advanced Spectra Vision program, which will reproduce the real life of the Western Han Dynasty about 2,000 years ago. We will ensure you two hours exploring this site.

11:30 Free Time for Lunch and Visit the Great Mosque
Then, we will drive to the Great Mosque in the core area of the Xi'an City. The mosque is located at the Muslim Quarter, which is convenient to enjoy authentic local food for lunch. Your guide is ready to offer suggestions and help.

14:30 Drive to Visit the Shaanxi History Museum
Next, we will continue this Xi'an group tour to explore the Shaanxi History Museum. With many unique historical and cultural relics, it displays Shaanxi's as well as ancient China's history and culture, which is undoubtedly a treasure house of the Chinese civilization. There are as many as 370,000 antiquities in the collection, ranging from the prehistorical relics to that of the 1840s. Spanning more than one million years, the collection is superior in value, quantity, rank and species. Your guide will provide professional and detailed explanations.

16:40 Drive to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
After getting out of the museum, we will head to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda built during the Tang Dynasty was once the site for Monk Xuanzang to translate the Buddhist sutras. According to the feedback from our previous guests, it is enough to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. Therefore, instead of entering the temple to visit the pagoda, we will have a photo stop at the square for half an hour.

17:30 Free time at the Pagoda Area or Hotel Drop-off
Nowadays the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Area has become the most popular area for both tourists and locals in Xi'an. It is truly a wonderful place to enjoy the charming night scenes and get relaxed. Around the pagoda, there are 2 squares, of which the south one will lead to the Great Tang All Day Mall, where you can appreciate many unique sculptures of the Tang Dynasty styles and enjoy some classical music performances in public, and the north one has the biggest musical fountain in Asia. It is free but with show time schedules. If you are interested, you may take a leisurely stroll here at night and then return to the hotel by yourself. Your guide will provide information on how to get back.

Hotel Pick-up Service
Xian is relatively a big city. To ensure the morning pick-up service going smoothly as scheduled, we recommend you stay in the downtown area. If your hotel is located in a narrow lane or an apartment block, we will find you a nearby hotel on a main street to serve as your pick-up point. Please refer to the map of Xian Downtown below. The color in orange is our free pick-up range in Xian.
- An additional transfer fee will be incurred if your hotel is outside the above mentioned area. Please indicate it when filling the inquiry form. If you are not sure about the pick-up issues, our travel consultant is ready to serve anytime.

- Cancellation: Your payment is fully refundable if you cancel more than 24 hours prior to the trip. Cancellation within 24 hours or any unused portion after the day trip begins is non-refundable.
- Schedule: The time schedule of the itinerary is for reference. It may be adjusted according to the traffic and real situations.
- Since the Small Wild Goose Pagoda is usually not open on Tuesdays and the Provincial History Museum is not open on Mondays, we will adjust the itinerary with substitutes if you happen to meet these dates.
