Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa
Your Tibet-Nepal-India tour starts today! For your convenience, you can fly to Lhasa from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xian etc. Our local guide will meet you at the airport and present you with a piece of white Hada, which is a common practice in Tibet for welcoming distinguished guests. Then the guide will transfer you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude.

Day 2 Lhasa
Drepung Monastery
Today's Tibet tour starts from the Drepung Monastery, which is the largest Buddhist shrine in Tibet, complete with white residences and scarlet halls leaning against the hill tier upon tier. After that, we will proceed to the Sera Monastery, the second largest monastery in Lhasa and constructed in 1419. Wandering around, you will be dazzled by its unique Tibetan architecture, colorful frescos, fluttering prayer flags and sutra pillars. You will then be accompanied to visit Norbulingka Park, built in the 1740s as a summer resort for Dalai Lama - the religious leader of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 3 Lhasa
Potala Palace
In the morning, our guide will lead you to the magnificent Potala Palace, one of the highlights in your 14 days Nepal and India tour from Tibet. Initially built in the 7th century, the palace has been renovated several times since and consists of the White Palace and the Red Palace. Nowadays, the White Palace serves as a place for holding important religious rituals while the Dalai Lama lives and conducts political activities in the Red Palace. You are also able to view a large collection of historical items, including statues, frescos, Tangka, ancient codes and records. Then, you will be guided to view the Rock Painting (Sangjiedonggu).

Afterwards, we continue the tour to the Jokhang Temple. With a history of more than 650 years, the temple enshrines the statue of Sakyamuni at age eight, and has therefore become the sacred place among local Tibetan Buddhist believers. Later, we will take a stroll around the bustling Barkhor Street and then pay a visit to a nunnery.

Day 4 Lhasa - Kathmandu

Today we will extend our tour to Nepal. Our guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Another local guide will meet you outside the customs of the airport and transfer you to the downtown hotel.

After a short rest, we will start this private Kathmandu journey with Pashupatnath Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu. As the temple is only open to Hindus, you can take pictures of the splendid buildings from the viewing platform across the river. Then we will drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, about 14 kilometers (9 miles) from Kathmandu, which showcases some of the finest Medieval Nepali architecture. One of the most intriguing buildings is the royal palace with 55 carved wooden windows. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 5 Kathmandu

After breakfast, our guide will escort you to Chandragiri Hill and accompany you on the cable car uphill. The cool air is quite refreshing as are the views of the lush greenery below. Afterward, we will head for another famous square, Patan Durbar Square, which is considered an expo of typical Newar architecture combining both Indian and Nepali styles. 

Today's visit will end up with the Boudhanath Stupa, which is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. After taking pictures of it, we will reverse the trip back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 6 Kathmandu

Today's Nepal and India tour from Lhasa starts with Swayambhunath Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist shrine in Nepal, which has been around for more than 2,500 years. We will then continue our journey to Kathmandu Durbar Square. As the most noted square in Kathmandu, the square assembles more than 50 splendid temples and palaces built between the 16th and 19th century. As you will see, the magnificent Nepali architecture, exquisite decorations and numerous historical items truly reflect the unique culture of the country.

This afternoon, you will have some free time exploring the city on your own. At night, our guide will pick you up and escort you to a dance show where you will also enjoy a Nepalese dinner.

Day 7 Kathmandu - Varanasi
Please remember to take your entire belongings with you as you check out the hotel. Then we will transfer you to the airport and see you off. The next stop of this Tibet-Nepal-India tour is Varanasi. Our Indian representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, you may set out for your own exploration of the city or rest at the hotel.

Day 8 Varanasi - Agra
After breakfast, we will enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges and get a good view of the Hindus praying and bathing on ghats along the bank. The Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghats usually gather a large number of devotees and you may even get to witness a cremation ceremony. The rest of the day is free for you to discover the city on your own. 

In the evening, our driver will escort you to the railway station and help you check in for an overnight train to Agra.

Day 9 Agra
Upon your arrival in Agra, our local guide will pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel for a short break. Then we will set out to visit the world-famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal (meaning the Crown Palace) was built by the Muslim Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, whose tomb was kept in the lower chamber of the Mausoleum. Over 20,000 men, including renowned architects and craftsmen of the day, created this wonder. Please have your camera ready to capture the beauty of this elegant work.

About 15 km (9 miles) away from the Taj Mahal, you will see Agra Fort, which was constructed over a period of 10 years during the 17th century. Inside this luxurious scarlet fortress, there are more than 500 magnificent palaces, including the Jahangir Palace, Khas Mahal, and many beautiful mosques.

Day 10 Agra - Fatephur Sikri - Jaipur
After checking out of the hotel, we will visit Fatehpur Sikri. You will notice that the design of the castle chambers exhibit Hindu, Islamic and Christian decorative styles, the reason being that they were built to satisfy the needs of Akbar the Great's three wives, who followed different religions.

We then drive to Jaipur, the city painted in pink. After settling in a local hotel, take some time to explore this Pink City and immerse yourself amongst the pink buildings, walls and domes lining orderly along the streets.

Day 11 Jaipur - Amer Fort - Jaipur
We will spend the whole morning sightseeing the Amer Fort. You can go uphill by walking, riding an elephant, or taking a jeep. While visiting, you will encounter several grand palaces with typical Indian domes, slender grilles, flowery stone carvings and marble columns. The Sheesh Mahal (aka the Palace of Mirrors) is the most gorgeous and dazzling palace of them all with its countless convex mirrors and colorful stones covering the interior walls.

In the afternoon, you will have a have a photo opportunity at Jal Mahal and then visit the City Palace which was the former imperial palace and which is still inhabited by imperial descendants. Next, we will walk to the Jantar Mantar to see many old and strange brick facilities, each of which have played special roles in past astronomical observations. Your last stop today will be a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. The palace is an important landmark of the city and its grand pink wall carved with 953 windows is a sight to behold.

Day 12 Jaipur - Delhi
Delhi is the next stop of this Nepal and India tour from Lhasa. After breakfast, we will take a private transfer there. Upon arrival, our driver will help you check in the hotel. For the remainder of the day, you can have a good rest or roam the city on your own.

Day 13 Delhi
You will enjoy a full day of sightseeing the Old and New Delhi. In the old town of Delhi, we will first visit the Raj Ghat, built in memorial of the Indian hero Gandhi. After that, we will get a glimpse of the Red Fort on our vehicle and then, we will arrive at the Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Next, we continue our journey to the busy Chandni Chowk where you can take a rickshaw through narrow alleys.

Qutub Minar, the highest tower in India, is the first stop of our exploration of New Delhi. Then we will proceed to Humayun's Tomb which is the mausoleum of the imperial family during the 16th century and is famous for its splendid architecture integrating both Indian and Persian styles. We continue our journey to the India Gate and finally we conclude the day with the Lakshminarayan Temple consecrating Lakshmi - the goddess of wealth and Lord Narayan in Hinduism.

Day 14 Departure from Delhi
This 14 days Nepal and India tour from Tibet comes to an end today. Our driver will transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight. Have a pleasant trip home!
