From January 1, 2019 on, five cities including Xiamen, Qingdao, Wuhan, Chengdu and Kunming will be added to the list of 144-hour visa-free transit. The qualified tourists from 53 countries can transit in any of these cities for at most 144 hours without a China visa. It’s a further optimized the current policy of 72-hour visa-free transit. Comparing with before, the stay time will be extended and more transit ports will be available.

The tourists from 53 countries who comes from country/region A to China, and leaves for country/region C. Application documents include the passport valid for at least three months, visa (if applicable) and onward ticket to the third country or region.

Two seaports in Xiamen and Qingdao will be added and all the eligible ports are as follow: Xiamen airport, Xiamen seaport, Qingdao airport, Qingdao seaport, Wuhan airport, Chengdu airport and Kunming airport.
