During Nov. 4th to 11th, the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) 2014 Conference will be held in Beijing, and Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) will take place in Yanqi Lake, Huairou District. From Nov. 3rd to 12th, car restriction measures are implemented to control vehicle flow for better air quality and traffic condition. Non-public buses and cars should abide by the odd and even days restrictions according to their liscence numbers. This measure may affect your scheduled trip more or less.

If you travel in Beijing with a travel agency, your agency will cope with this problem to make your trip smooth still, but it may take longer time on the road. Taking an independent travel, you may choose the public transport, even it is quite crowded. It is estimated that the number of passengers using the public transport will rise to 3,000,000 every day. So longer travel time should be taken into your consideration when making a schedule. By the way, three subway stations, Olympic Green, Olympic Sports Center and Beitucheng will be closed to traffic.

In the course of the conference, some scenic spots around the meeting places are also closed to public, including Olympic Green, Olympic Sports Center, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube and Chinese Ethnic Culture Park. If you are scheduled to visit these places, you may change your plan.
