Day 1 Istanbul - Shanghai
It has been more than 1300 years since Islam was spread to China, and many Muslim travelers including Turkish people come to China to explore the Islamic culture in the country. Taking into account the international flights, we would like to suggest you choose Shanghai as your first destination for your China tour from Turkey. The regular direct flight TK026 0120/1630 of Turkish Airlines flies daily from Istanbul to Shanghai. The Air China flight CA5234 has code shared with Turkish Airlines. You will arrive in Shanghai the same day after 10 hours & 10 minutes' flying. People who live in other places of the country such as Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana or Gaziantep can connect flight via Istanbul to Shanghai.

Ahlan! Upon your arrival at Shanghai airport, your guide will greet you at the airport. A comfortable private van will transfer you to a hotel in the city. Have a good rest for the remaining of the day.

Day 2 Shanghai
Shanghai Bund
The Shanghai tour from Turkey starts with Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, where you can learn about the history and current development of Shanghai. Then visit Yuyuan Garden, one of the best ancient gardens in Shanghai. Around noon, you will have an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at the local famous Muslim restaurant, Yeli Xiali Xinjiang, where the most popular dishes are stewed chicken with potatoes, roasted mutton, milk tea, yoghurt, boiled milk with rice, and cold noodles. 

After lunch, continue to visit the Bund, the landmark attraction in Shanghai. You will have some free time to explore the area on your own and take some pictures with the buildings on the other bank of the Huangpu River. Afterwards, the tourist bus will transfer you to Tianzifang, once an old residential area with narrow alleys and outdated houses, which now has turned to a modern and popular art zone.

Day 3 Shanghai - Xian
This morning you will visit the Xiao Tao Yuan Mosque. Constructed in 1925, Xiao Tao Yuan is a traditional Islamic style mosque. The major hall takes up an area of 500 square meters and can hold 1,000 prayers at a time. The mosque is also the office of the Shanghai Islamic Association and the important venue for all kinds of activities for Muslims from all over the world. After that, you will visit the Xintiandi Area. Around noon, you will have an a la carte Muslim lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price). Take flight to Xian. When you arrive at the airport, your local guide will be greeting you outside the luggage area and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 4 Xian
Muslims selling delicious snacks
The morning sightseeing will take you to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. As a part of tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221 - 207 BC), the clay soldiers and horses are believed to be the underground guard to protect their emperor after his death.

Around noon, you will have your a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at a famous Halal restaurant. Then visit the Great Mosque and Muslim Street in the afternoon, which are highlights of your China Muslim tour from Turkey. First built in the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), the Great Mosque has a history of over 1,000 years. The salat at sunset is around 17:40, and you will have free time to do the prayer. On the Muslim Street, there are many restaurants selling delicious Muslim food and local snacks, including roasted mutton, cold noodles with sesame paste, and glutinous rice cake. For today's dinner, we suggest that you have a taste of the local snacks in the most famous restaurants there, such as Jiasan steamed stuffed buns, Ding's steamed beef, Shengzhiwang cold noodles with sesame paste, and Mi's steamed mutton with bread. Your guide will accompany you to the restaurants and help you order dishes.

Day 5 Xian
Great Mosque in Xian
In the morning, you will take a walk along the iconic City Wall. Early in the Tang Dynasty, there was a city wall around the city of Chang'an (old name of Xian). The wall you can see now was constructed in the Ming Dynasty, and has been renovated many times. You have a panoramic view of this old city when standing on the wall. Then proceed to visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, one of the best museums in China. Your a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be at a nice Halal restaurant.

This afternoon, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum. First built in 707 during the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda was 46 meters high and had 15 floors. Though the top two floors were destroyed in earthquakes, the main body of the pagoda still remains intact. Xian Museum was built to protect the pagoda and houses many relics discovered there.

For today's dinner, we recommend one of the best Muslim restaurants in Xian, Tongshengxiang Restaurant near the Bell Tower. Apart from the delicious local snacks, there are also many delicate Halal dishes. Your guide will help you order dishes and leave you to enjoy the feast.

Day 6 Xian - Beijing
Take a morning high-speed train to Beijing. Upon arrival, a local guide will pick up you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. After a short break, you will be taken to visit the Summer Palace. As one of the best royal gardens, it is composed of hills, lakes, stone bridges, gardens, long corridors and magnificent imperial buildings.

Day 7 Beijing

After breakfast, your private trip to Beijing begins with the famous Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square is the largest city square in the world, and has witnessed many important events in China since it was built 600 years ago. Then follow your guide to Forbidden City. As an imperial palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) dynasties, Forbidden City houses countless treasures of art and architecture. Around noon, you will have an a la carte Muslim lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at Yanlanlou Restaurant which boasts all kinds of Halal food and snacks from Northwest China. After lunch, take a walk at the nearby Jingshan Park and climb the hill in the park to enjoy a panoramic view of the Forbidden City.

Continue your Muslim tour to Niujie Mosque. With a history of over 1,000 years, Niujie Mosque is the largest mosque in Beijing. Without Islamic domes or minarets, the halls and pavilions in the mosque are built in traditional Chinese style with grey tiled roofs, carved beams and painted columns. Salat performed in the mosque are at: 06:40, 13:30, 16:20, 17:35 and 18:50. You will have free time to do the prayer during your visit. Kindly reminder: please dress properly when visiting the mosque; some halls in the mosque are not open to non-Muslim visitors and some are not open to visitors.

After visiting the mosque, you can go to a nearby Muslim super market to buy some food. For today's dinner, we recommend the time-honored Baikui Restaurant Longfu Temple branch, where you can have a taste of Halal roasted duck and all kinds of local snacks. The guide will transfer you to the restaurant and help you order dishes. Afterwards, please take a taxi back to the hotel on your own.

Day 8 Beijing
Niujie Mosque
The morning tour takes you to the Temple of Heaven. In the Temple of Heaven, you will learn about the Chinese imperial altar and prayer ceremonies of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Your a la carte Muslim lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be arranged at Xinjiang Red Rose Restaurant which is famous for all kinds of Xinjiang food, such as roasted mutton, fried chicken with potatoes, and fried mutton with Nang (a kind of crusty pancake).

After finishing the delicious food, you will take a walk on the Mutianyu Great Wall (round trip cable car is included). About one hour's drive from the city, Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the most famous sections among all the Chinese great walls. When standing on the old wall, you can also enjoy the surrounding beautiful scenery.

Day 9 Beijing - Istanbul
Your private China tour from Istanbul, Turkey ends today. Your guide will see you off at Beijing Airport for your homebound flight. The non-stop flight TK021 0010/0515 is scheduled daily from Beijing to Istanbul. The flying time is 10 hours and 5 minutes. Apart from this, China Southern Airlines also operates the direct flight CZ679 1650/1220+1 from Beijing to Istanbul with a stopover of 1 hour and 20 minutes at Urumqi three times a week. This flight takes 12.5 hours, so you will arrive home tomorrow. We wish you a smooth trip home!
