Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai
Upon your arrival at Shanghai Airport, please take a metered taxi to the hotel that we have reserved for you. For your reference, it is about CNY170 per taxi from Pudong Airport and CNY60 per taxi from Hongqiao Airport to the hotel. For the remainder of the day, you can rest at the hotel or do some sightseeing by yourself.

Day 2 Shanghai
Shanghai Bund
The sightseeing spots in Shanghai are of easy access via taxi, bus or subway, so we leave the city on your own exploration for a full day. We suggest you visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yu Garden and the Bund today. Please go to the nearby subway station to take line 1 and get off at the People's Square (Renmin Guangchang) station. Get out of the station from exit 1 and walk south to reach the Shanghai Museum. There is audio guide available in this museum, which only costs CNY40. Then you may take a taxi to Yuyuan Garden, which only costs CNY14. As the Bund is not far away, you can either take taxi or walk there.

Day 3 Shanghai - Suzhou
Today you will have a free morning to further explore Shanghai. Then you need to find your own way to the railway station and take a one-hour high-speed train to Suzhou by yourself. We will book and deliver the train ticket to you in advance. When you arrive in Suzhou, our local guide will pick you up from the railway station and escort you to check in at the hotel.

Day 4 Suzhou
Humble Administrator's Garden
Today, your sightseeing begins by visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, one of the major attractions in Suzhou. It is also a symbol of traditional Chinese architecture, featuring a landscape of water and pavilions. Continue to go sightseeing at the Suzhou old town by tricycle. Today's lunch is not included in the price, but our guide will be willing to recommend you proper local restaurant upon your request. This afternoon, you will be guided to Tongli Ancient Town where you can appreciate the charm of the water town along the Yangtze River in China.

Day 5 Suzhou - Hangzhou
West Lake, Hangzhou
This morning, take the high speed train to Hangzhou. The train ride takes around 1.5 hours. You will arrive in Hangzhou at noon, where no guide service is provided. We suggest you take a taxi to the hotel we reserved for you. It costs about CNY25. After a short rest, you can explore the West Lake, which is the most celebrated area of scenic beauty in the city. A taxi from your hotel to West Lake will cost around CNY20. As it is a large scenic spot, we suggest you rent a public bicycle for riding around the alluring West Lake. And taking a cruise is also a good choice. You will find many wharfs along the lake. Half a day is needed to enjoy the scenery at leisure. There are also many restaurants offering famous Hangzhou cuisine and various snacks, which may fulfill your dining requirements.

Day 6 Hangzhou - Huangshan
Tunxi Old Street
In the morning, please go to Hangzhou East Railway Station to take a 2-hour high speed train to Huangshan by yourself. We will deliver the train ticket to your hotel in advance. Upon arrival at Huangshan North Station, our guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, we will take you to visit the Hongcun Village, a well preserved old town in Yi County. Then you will go back to Huangshan city to visit the Tunxi Old Street, which is lined with stores, restaurants, stalls, almost everything for travelers in terms of local snacks, food and souvenirs. All buildings are in typical Old Hui architectural style, and the peaceful and ancient atmosphere will make you feel like you are seeing an old Chinese movie. You may also get good choice in Tunxi Old Street for dinner.

Day 7 Huangshan
Tonight you will stay in the hotel on the top of Huangshan Mountain. We suggest you put some necessary belongings into your carry-on luggage beforehand and our guide will help you deposit your heavy luggage and then transfer to the foot of Huangshan Mountain. As you begin to take the cable car journey to climb the mountain, you will find yourself among the splendid scenery. Huangshan is the most beautiful mountain in China, especially for its "four wonders" including the odd pines, the peculiar peaks, the sea of clouds, and the hot spring. Enjoy the view of the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock and the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion where you can find a good place for rest and wait for the breathtaking sunset. Stay overnight at the hotel on the mountain.

Day 8 Huangshan - Beijing
In the morning, continue the guided sightseeing tour to the Bright Summit, which is the best place to see the sunrise and sea of Clouds. Then visit the Xihai Grand Canyon, where you can enjoy the pure beauty of Huangshan from different angles. Afterwards, take the cable car again to the foot of the mountain and then you will be transferred to the railway station to catch the high speed train to Beijing. After 6.5 hours' riding, you will arrive in Beijing. The local guide is ready to pick you up at the railway station and take you to the hotel.

Day 9 Beijing
The Great Wall
After breakfast, our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and then escort you to visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, both of which are located at the very heart of the city. Lunch will be arranged on your own today but our guide will be glad to assist. Then you will proceed to the Summer Palace, which is also called Yiheyuan in Chinese, meaning "the Garden for Maintaining Health and Harmony". The delicate scenery and ingenious layout of the garden earn it great fame and attract thousands from visitors all over the world.

Day 10 Beijing
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel because today will be a busy and energetic day. The first highlight is the Temple of Heaven. In the morning, you will see lots of locals taking exercises there, some in groups under the leadership of a master playing Tai Chi, some flying Kites and some just strolling in the park enjoying the fresh air. It is a nice place to observe the real life of ordinary Chinese people. In the afternoon, we will take you to the Mutianyu Great Wall with the round-trip cable car included, and on the way, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance and take some photos. Lunch is not included, so it is advisable to bring some food before departure or just have a simple fast food around noon.

Day 11 Departure from Beijing
Please check out of the hotel before 12:00. As you may have heavy luggage, we would like to suggest you take a metered taxi to the airport, which only costs around CNY80. Wish you a good journey home!
