Lijiang Helicopter Tour

The helicopter tour is based at the Baisha Airport which is near the Baisha Ancient Town of Lijiang. The base has several air routes allowing tourists to discover Lijiang from God’s point of view. There are 5 to 10 minutes experience tours and 60 to 90 minutes panoramic tours. You can choose according to your interest. During the voyage, you can overlook the ancient towns, idyllic countryside, majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, thousand-year-old untrodden glaciers, deep canyons, winding rivers, verdant alpine meadows, and sapphire alpine lakes.

 The sightseeing flight uses a new AC311 helicopter developed by the Aviation Industry of China, with a maximum cruising speed of 236 km (147 mi) per hour. The droplet shape of the fuselage effectively reduces drag and maintains stable flight performance even at high altitudes and in extremely cold environments. The large side windscreen maximizes the view of the passengers while traveling in the air. All of the pilots hold the commercial licenses issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, with solid skills and rich experience. During the flight, if you wish, you can experience the low-altitude turns, weightlessness, diving, and other aerobatic experience.

Taxi in Lijiang

The Baisha Airport is about 12 km (7.5 mi) far from Lijiang Old Town. The most convenient way to get there is to take a taxi and time needed is about 30 minutes.
 After the helicopter tour, you can visit the nearby Baisha Murals if time allows.
