In November, the average high temperature is below 20°C (68°F) while the average low is below 10°C (50°F). In Lijiang, the average low is even lower at 4°C (39°F). Therefore, though the daytime is cool, you will feel cool at night and in the early morning. From this month, Yunnan enters its dry season. Specifically, these places have an average rainfall of no more than 50 mm with around 5 rainy days. Moreover, as a result of the shortened daylight hours, many attractions like Stone Forest of Kunming may shorten their opening hours.
 In November, the average low temperature in this region drops to below 0°C (32°F), for example, in Shang-La, the average low is -5°C (23°F). In the daytime, the temperature reaches about 10°C (50°F). Therefore, you may feel cold in these places and need to wear thick winter clothes. This month, these places may expect snow but not much. The average snowy days are around 5.
 In November, the weather of southern Yunnan is warm overall with the average maximum temperature from 25 - 27°C (59 - 61°F) and the average minimum around 15°C (59°F). So, it is a good traveling destination in late Autumn of China. In terms of rainfall, it is also low at about 50 mm with about 5 rainy days, and you will see bright sun and clear sky most of the time.

 You are recommended to visit the famous Stone Forest, a natural wonder, to admire thousands of limestone pillars in various shapes. Besides, in November, if you go to Haigeng Park, Green Lake Park, and Grand View Park, you will see migrant Siberian seagulls flying on the lake. Among them, Green Lake Park and Daguan Park are also good places to enjoy the fall leaves. The cool weather of Kunming makes it suitable to climb the Western Hills to explore the ancient temples and grottoes and overlook the beautiful scenery of Dianchi Lake. If time permits, you could go to Yunnan Nationalities Village to see the architecture, costumes, and traditional handicrafts of the 26 ethnic minorities in Yunnan.

This month, with clear sky and sunny climate, a visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is recommended. You can leave before sunrise to start with the beautiful view of the golden sunlight shining on the white snowy peaks. Then, take the ropeway and enjoy the autumn view along the way and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. After that, hike up to the top of the mountain. Besides, with less tourists, you can admire the ancient architecture, taste the authentic local cuisine, and enjoy the bonfire party with ethnic characteristics in Lijiang Old Town at a leisurely pace.
 Every year from mid-November to early December, Tengchong Ginkgo Village enters its best viewing season. During this period, more than 1,647 acres and 30,000 ginkgo trees in the Village turn golden yellow. The paths, stone walls, and roofs in the village are all covered with ginkgo leaves, forming a golden fairy tale world. In addition, Tengchong Hot Sea, where you can see more than 80 hot springs and enjoy hot spring baths; as well as Tengchong Volcano Park, where you can visit the craters and the museum and experience hot air balloon ride, are also very famous.
