Suzhou to Lijiang Train

There is no direct train from Suzhou to Lijiang in the short run, but passengers can have a transfer in Kunming South Railway Station. Then passengers can take the high speed trains from Kunming to Lijiang. The total travel time on the train is around 16 hours and the total ticket cost for a second class seat is CNY 1,132.

Or you can take a high speed train to shanghai, then take a flight from Shanghai to Lijiang directly. It will take about 4.5-5.5 hours on the way with CNY 960-1,220.

Because there is no ticket for Kunming to Lijiang the day, you’d better have a stay in Kunming for one night. If you have enough time, you can take a turn in Kunming. As a famous city in China, Kunming is famous for its beautiful scenery and unique culture. There are many well-known attractions, such as the Dianchi Lake, Green Lake Park and Stone Forest. If you are interested, you can have a visit by yourself. Or you can have a full rest in Kunming and save energy for later visits to Lijiang.

Then, there are 3 flights you can choose to take in Shanghai to get to Lijiang. It will take about 4.5-5.5 hours on the way with CNY 960-1,220.

 Lugu Lake is a major tourism and a natural reserve with the unique folklore of the Mosuo people and charming landscapes. The scenery there is beautiful all year round.
 Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest gorges in the world. According to an ancient legend, a tiger could leap easily from one side of the gorge to the other. So it is called Tiger Leaping Gorge.
 On the return trip from Lijiang to Suzhou, a transfer in Kunming is necessary. There are 10 high speed trains from Lijiang to Kunming South and 1 Kunming South to Suzhou [Jiangsu] high speed trains. The whole duration on the train is at least 15.5 hours and the total cost is CNY 1,132.
