In ancient times, the Middle Route and South Route of Silk Road passed Pamir and then to West Asia, South Asia and Europe.

Tianshan Mountain is a huge mountain located in the central area of Asia, stretching through the middle part of Xinjiang and reaching to Kazakhstan in the west. It is 2,500 kilometers long and 200 to 300 kilometers wide, at an elevation of 5000 meters. Its highest peak is 7,435.3 meters and the famous Bogda Peak is 5,445 meters high.
