Emin Minaret Pictyres

Stand in front of the tower and admire the Islamic-style architecture

The Emin Minaret stands 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) east of Turpan. It is the largest ancient tower in Xinjiang and the only Islamic tower of China. Built in 1777, the Minaret was in honor of Emin Khoja, the heroic Turpan general of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The tower is in shape of a circular cone reflecting the typical Islamic architectural style. Attraction Intro: Emin Minaret
