Yumbu Lakang Pictures
Yumbu Lakang was once the palace of the first tsanpo (Tibetan for ruler) of Yapan River valley area and the earliest palace in Tibet.
Located in the southeast of Tsedang Town, Shannan, Yumbu Lakang is built on the top of Zhaxi Ciri Hill on the east bank of Yalong River. It was said to be the first palace in Tibetan history constructed by Bon followers for the ruler in 2nd Century BC, consisting of two parts: front multi-storied building and blockhouse style watch tower connected behind.
