Yamdrok Yumtso means 'swan pool' in Tibetan language, being one of the three famous sacred lakes in Tibet and the largest inland lake north of the Himalayas. It has an elegant view, surrounded by snow capped mountains. Visitors would like to list the lake as a must go destination while going to Shigatse from Lhasa via the south route.
