Sera Monastery Pictures

Coqen Hall (Great Hall of Preaching Scripture) is the largest building of Sera Monastery, and this is usually the most supreme organ of a temple.

Located at the south foot of a mountain in northern Lhasa, Sera Monastery was founded in 1419, regarded as the three great Gelug temples with Ganden and Drepung Monasteries. Not as magnificent as Drepung Monastery, Sera will hold the spectacular Buddha Thangka unfolding ceremony in traditional Shoton Festival. Attraction Intro: Sera Monastery
