Attraction Intro: Mount Kailash
  • Among the undulating ridges and peaks, this erecting peak does look unique and was mystified as sacred mountain at a time when science could not give a reasonable explanation.
  • It is this peak that is regarded as the Sacred Mountain by pilgrims. The snow covered summit looks like a silver crown, which adds a touch of mystery to the already legendary mountain.
  • This may be one of the last places not defiled by modern sprawls. Maybe this is the same sky when in the beginning God created it. We wish this azure sky would be so eternally.
  • When Buddhism was the dominating religion, pilgrims from local and India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim and so on came here to worship and pray. Therefore, temples of various styles can be seen here.
  • It is said the social status of a pilgrim would be increased dramatically if he came here and walked around the mountain several circles. These temples and stupas might be an evidence of their pilgrim.
