New Stone Sculpture Exhibition Hall Pictures

The Stone Sculpture Exhibition Hall  is a new themed exhibition hall on the east side of the museum. Its theme is "Buddhism in Chang’an". About 150 stone carved statues, being selected from 300 statues in the museum, from Northern Wei Dynasty (386-557) to Song Dynasty (960-1172) are on display there. It is general divided into two parts, supplication of all lives and different images of Buddhist sculptures. The first part mainly focuses on the steles in Northern Dynasties (386-581), while the second emphasizes on the single Buddhist statues.
