Wang's Residence Pictures

Wang’s Residence got its name from the owner’s family name. It covers 3,000 square meters and has about a hundred rooms. It was the largest and best preserved garden at the end of Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Its layout, reflecting the Confucian Doctrine of Mean, is very formal with the front and the back part on the central axis. The right and left sides are symmetrical. All sculptures in the garden, including stone and wood carving, are very delicate. All these carvings are made of precious materials.
