Established in 1953, Hubei Provincial Museum is a crucial regional museum in China and the biggest comprehensive one in the province, located on the bank of the East Lake. It houses most precious and important artifacts of Hubei. Abundant unearthed heritages of the Qujialing Culture and Warring States Period are especially prominent.
