Luoyang Museum is situated in the center of the city, adjoining Wangcheng Garden on the west. It's the only comprehensive historical museum. Its exhibitions mainly include the fossil of an elephant which lived 50 thousand years ago, the Neolithic colored pottery, the bronze ware of Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, the colored-drawing pottery of Han and Wei dynasties and the pottery figures of Sui and Tang dynasties and so on.
