Dunhuang (64)

Located in the west of Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province, Dunhuang was a desert oasis and an important town on the Silk Road in ancient times. The city is renowed for the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, a treasure house of Buddhist art and culture.

Lanzhou (26)

Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, used to be called the Golden City. It was a vital stop along the Silk Road and has a history of over 2,000 years.
