Picture of Great Wall of Han and Ming Dynasties in Jiayuguan

The first beacon tower of the Wall was the west end of the beacon tower of the Ming Dynasty, near Jiayuguan Pass.

Being as the first pass of the Great Wall, Jiayuguan city is just a natural museum of the Great Wall. The overhanging sections lying across the gravel floodplains of the Han (206 BC - 220) and Ming (1368 - 1644) Dynasties could be seen everywhere when entering Jianyuguan City. These precious relics and sites of the Great Wall couple a long course of history and culture, nourishing the city culture of Jiayuguan City.
