Bell & Drum Towers Pictures

Seated in the north end of the axis of inner city, the Drum Tower was first built in 1272 and open to public in 1980s after much repair.

Bell and Drum towers, the buildings were originally for musical use and but were later used to announce the time during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties (1271-1911), are unique tourist attractions, located at Dongcheng District, at the end of the central axis of the Inner City of Beijing.
