Hall of Preserved Harmony Pictures
In the Ming Dynasty, the hall was used as a dressing room before the emperor attended grand ceremonies. In early Qing Times, it served as the wedding venue for both the Emperor Shunzhi and his successor, Emperor Kangxi. It was also a place where the emperors held banquets. Later, it was used as a place to hold the final stage of imperial examinations. Inside, a plaque, inscribed by Emperor Qianlong with Chinese characters “Huang Jian You Ji”, is hanging above.
