Palace of Heavenly Purity Pictures

The palace covers 1,400 square meters. " Heavenly Purity" stands for national stability and the upright behavior of the emperor. In the front platform, a bronze tortoise and crane stand. At the sides, on the platform, are two measuring tools, a sundial on the east side and a Jialiang on the west. These symbolize the emperors’ fairness to people. On entering the hall, the throne is directly ahead, above which hangs a signboard inscribed by the Emperor Shunzhi (the first emperor in Beijing) with “Upright and Pure in Mind”.
