Clock and Watch Gallery Pictures

It was not until the eighteenth century that the traditional timepieces in the Forbidden City were replaced by modern timekeepers. Most clocks on display were made in Great Britain, but some are from France, Switzerland or even China. The clocks of various shapes, styles and delicate designs, were not only practical, daily tools, but also artifacts. Videos of the working principles of these horologiums are shown in the hall.
