Hui Style Residence Photos

The ancient residential houses are typical of Hui Style, widely scattered throughout the countryside. They are considered to be the finest examples of ancient Chinese residences in this region.

Located on the southern tip of Anhui Province, Huizhou has a rich history. The old streets are lined with the uniquely-designed resident houses, which are thought to the finest of the ancient Chinese residential houses. Most of the residences were built in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties, scattering across the countryside and recounting the vicissitude of the old streets.
