SH02: 2-Day Private Shanghai Tours without Hotel

Our guide and driver will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 09:00. Today you will have a downtown exploration to some must-see attractions. Firstly we transfer you to visit the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, which shows detailed information of the past, present and future of Shanghai in a quite interesting way. It is good to start the trip here as you may get an overview understanding of the city before you explore further. After that, go deeper to learn more by visiting Shanghai Museum, a different style than Urban Planning Exhibition Hall that presents you the profound history and culture of China. Lunch is arranged by yourself. In the afternoon, have a relaxing time rambling in the beautiful Yu Garden and then take some time to explore the lively Yuyuan market. After that you will come to the Bund area which is the quintessential of Shanghai. Finally, we will drive you back to your hotel, or you may enjoy your own time at Nanjing Road that is very close by.

Today we will take a side trip away from the bustling city to visit the quaint and elegant Zhujiajiao Water Town. It would be quite a different experience to see the old and ancient part of China. In the morning, our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby. Drive for about one hour to reach the water town, where you may take time to wander through the narrow streets, climb over the various bridges, discover interesting handmade articles from the street shops and appreciate the traditional architecture of the houses. Lunch is arranged by yourself. You may either try some local food in the water town, or have lunch at a decent restaurant after you return to downtown Shanghai. In the afternoon, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple and Tianzifang art and cultural street as the conclusion of your private two-day trip.

In the morning at around 09:00, our guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel, and then take you to visit Shanghai Museum which has eleven galleries and three exhibition halls that possess a rich collection on Chinese painting, calligraphy, ceramics, bronze and minority costumes. You may spend two hours here. Later, have a leisure time at the Bund area to view various buildings in different architectural styles. There are many photo opportunities here and we will leave you some free time to enjoy it on your own. Lunch is not included today. You may ask your guide for some good recommendations and find a nice restaurant nearby. In the afternoon, visit Yu Garden, an elegant private garden of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD). After that, you will have some free time to go through the Yuyuan Market for some souvenirs. At the end of the day, we will take you to the World Financial Center to have a bird-view of the whole city.

Suzhou, a typical city with all elements you are expecting from a city in southern part. It is elegant, classical, exquisite, leisure and tranquil. Today, you will have a private day trip to this beautiful city by high-speed train from Shanghai. We will arrange the round-way train tickets and hand it over to you in advance. Take a morning train to Suzhou by yourself. Upon your arrival, our guide in Suzhou will pick you up at the exit of the train station, and then transfer you to visit the two best classical gardens, Humble Administrator's Garden and Garden of the Masters of the Nets. After that, have a short walking along Pingjiang Road to explore more for small local handworks and street snacks. Then in the late afternoon, our guide and driver will transfer you back to the train station for your return journey to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will find your own way back to the hotel.
