Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa
Welcome to Tibet! Our top-notch guide will meet you at the airport according to your flight schedule. After a warm greeting, you will be escorted to the comfortable hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is reserved for you to have a rest at the hotel to acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 2 Lhasa
Sera Monastery
Our first destination is the Drepung Monastery, which is known for its grand scale and vital role in Gelugpa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. After having lunch, we head to the Sera Monastery, where you are able to see lamas holding group debates of Buddhist doctrines. The last stop today is the Norbulingka Park. Being used as the Summer Palace of successive Dalai Lamas, this park has integrated the essence of Tibetan architecture, murals and decorations.

Day 3 Lhasa
This morning is dedicated to the Potala Palace and Tibet Museum. With the topmost point reaching 3,767 meters, the ancient Potala Palace is absolutely an architectural wonder combining palace, castle and temple. The rich collections of prehistoric cultural relics, Buddhist statues, scriptures, tangkas and various artifacts in Tibet Museum help you get a more comprehensive understanding of local culture. This afternoon, we explore the Jokhang Temple, the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street and a Nunnery.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse
After breakfast, we will leave for Gyangtse, which is about 230 kilometers away from Lhasa. En route, we stop off at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, one of the holy lakes in Tibet, to admire and take photos of its beautiful scenery. In Gyangtse, we will visit the more than 580-year-old Palkhor Monastery and Gyangtse Old Street. We then continue driving to the hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5 Shigatse - Dingri
Gyangtse Old Street
Today's trip starts with the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the seat of the Panchen Lama since the Fourth Panchen Lama took charge in the monastery in 1601. We can appreciate not only the grand palace and statues here but also fabulous mural paintings. Next we visit the New Palace of Panchen, a tranquil summer resort built in 1954. After having lunch, we set off to the hotel in Dingri. On the way, we will visit Sakya Monastery - the principal monastery of the Sakyapa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and then walk around at Lhatse County.

Day 6 Dingri - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse
An exciting day comes. We will travel to the Everest Base Camp, where we can get an up-close view of the Mt. Everest, the supreme point of the world. We will also visit the Rongbuk Monastery, which is the world's highest monastery. Afterwards, we drive back to Shigatse and it is about 6 hours' ride.

Day 7 Shigatse - Lhasa
As we make our way back to Lhasa, we will cross and get glimpses of some small villages and mountains. Pay a visit to a Tibetan family to learn about the local's daily life and then transfer to the hotel in Lhasa.

Day 8 Lhasa - Namtso Heavenly Lake

Being considered as one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, Namtso has always been a sacred site for devout pilgrims. Besides, it ranks among the five most beautiful lakes in China. We will take a scenic drive (about 5.5 hours) to Namtso Heavenly Lake. En route, we see flocks of yaks and sheep, and pass over the more than 5000-meter Nagenla Mountain. After a short interval at our guesthouse, we are treated to the sheer beauty of Namtso Heavenly Lake. We are able to enjoy the sunset view if weather permits.

Day 9 Namtso Lake - Lhasa
You may get up early to view the haunting sunrise over the lake. On our way back to Lhasa, we will pass by Yangpachen, which is famous for its geothermic hot springs. We can stop over for a brief visit if you are interested. We'll return to the hotel in Lhasa in the afternoon.

Day 10 Departure from Lhasa
