What You Can See at the Ruins of St. Paul's
Founded in the 17th century, it used to be a grand Gothic church of both western architectural features and oriental styles. However, the main building was destroyed by fire in 1835. Only the front wall remains standing until now. It looks like a traditional Chinese arch from the distance. Taking pictures has become a must-do activity there. Coming closer, you can appreciate exquisite religious reliefs on the wall.
What You Can See at the A-Ma Temple
It is the oldest temple in Macau for people to worship Matsu - the goddess of the sea. Although not large in scale, the temple perfectly merges into the nature, leaning against cliffs and facing the sea. It is also the most prosperous temple in Macau. Once stepping into the temple, you will find purple smoke permeates the air. Rows of coiled incense hung under the eave are another special feature there.
