Visa-free Entry to China

1. Singaporeans can visit Mainland China without applying for visas for up to 30 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, or transit. If staying for more than 30 days, visa application is necessary.

2. Singapore passport holders are exempted from visas if they go to Hong Kong for less than 90 days, and Macao for less than 30 days. 

Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC)

Applicants who hold ordinary passports and tend to stay in China Mainland for more than 30 days are requested to submit their visa applications to the CVASC.  

Applicants holding diplomatic, official or service passports or applicants and planning to stay in China Mainland for more than 30 days and applicants applying for Chinese diplomatic, official and courtesy visas should still submit the application directly to the Embassy. 

Citizens of Singapore planning to stay in Hong Kong for over 90 days and in Macau for over 30 days shall also apply for visas at the CVASC.

 The CVASC office in Singapore also provides document authentication service at a certain cost. Foreigners in need of this service should go to the CVASC instead of the embassy.
