Visa Application

Citizens of Samoa holding ordinary passports are required to prepare the materials needed first, fill out the application form online in advance and provide additional documents, then submit all the application materials to the consular office of the Embassy.  Citizens holding diplomatic or official passports are exempted from visa application if stay in China Mainland for no more than 30 days.

Samoans are allowed to enter Hong Kong and Macau visa-free if staying for no more than 30-days.

Brief Intro

Samoa is an island group of Polynesian Archipelago in southern Pacific Ocean, consisting of two large islands and seven small ones (five of which are not inhabited). Most are volcano islands. Enjoying tropical rainforest climate, it has rich rainfall with an annual average temperature of 28℃ (about 82.4℉). November to April is the rainy season.

Notices for Chinese Going to Samoa

1. All visitors over 12 years old should pay for the departure tax, 40 talas. Without an entry permit, stays of less than 30 days is allowed in Samoa. But visitors should show their return or onward tickets and passports valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry into the country.

2. From Samoa Consulate General, High Commission or Embassy, visitors can apply for the permit to enter for stays over 60 days. 2 pieces of photos, round-trip ticket, proof of sufficient fund, invitation, business letter, a fee of about 50 talas and a valid passport.
