From Oct. 15, 2024 to end of 2025, China implements a 15-day visa-free policy to Portugal. Citizens of Portugal holding ordinary passports can go to China for business, tourism, family visits and transit purposes without applying for a visa. From Nov. 30, 2024, the visa-free stay period will be extended to 30 days and exchange visits will be also added into visa-free entry scope. To HK and Macau, citizens of Portugal can also stay for up to 90 days visa-free.

 Visa applications of ordinary passport holders are requested to be submitted to the China Visa Application Service Center, the CVASC in Lisbon. Diplomatic/official/service passport holders shall still apply at the Chinese Embassy.
