All the applicants holding ordinary passports are requested to submit their applications to the China Visa Application Service Center in Antananarivo. Diplomatic/official/service passport holders shall still apply at the Chinese Embassy.

 Full Name: The Republic of Madagascar

 Capital: Antananarivo is the capital and largest city of Madagascar, located in a horseshoe-shaped ridge of the central plateau and near to the equator.  

 Population: As of 2023 the population is 28.9 million, with Malagasy accounting for 98% of the total. The remainder are Comorians, Indians, Pakistanis, French and Chinese.

 Language: Malagasy and French are the official languages of Madagascar. In the capital Antananarivo, about one fourth of the population can speak English, although this ratio can be much lower in other cities and rural areas.

 Religion: 52% of residents embrace traditional religion, 41% Christianity (mainly Roman Catholicism), and 7% Islam.

 Best Time to Visit: September to October is the best time to take a Madagascar tour as the weather is mild and sunny with little rain.

What is the procedure to re-apply for a china visa if the current one expires before you could travel? Thank you

Ms. aku, the procedure is still same. Maybe it will be helpful for you to gain a new one by showing the expired visa. You still need pay for it.

Mr. John Adomako, the invitation letter issued by one authorized governmental departmnet is accepted by the embassy when you submit application, such as Foreign Affairs Office, committee of foreign trade and economic relations. The invitation letter from your supplier is not accepted.
