 Entry Notices
If staying for not longer than six months, all you need are a valid passport, a return ticket or enough currency to buy one, and sufficient funds to cover the stay in Zimbabwe. Chinese citizens should make a prior visa application before entry, which can be obtained from Zimbabwean Embassy in Beijing or the Chief Immigration Office in Harare.

Except children less than one year old, all the visitors from infected areas are required to have certificates of vaccination against cholera and yellow fever.

Personal possession not intended for disposal or consumption in Zimbabwe is allowed to enter duty-freely. Consumable goods (not merchandise imported for trade purpose) may be charged up to a value of USD250 or its equivalent currencies per person.

 Visa Types and Cost
There are diplomatic, official, tourist and work visas. Visa is not required for diplomatic purpose. If invited by Zimbabwean government, official visa is free of charge.

Visa on arrival costs USD30 for single-entry, USD45 for double-entry. Application of this kind of visa should be made directly to the Chief Immigration Office in Harare. As to the cost of visa issued by embassy, it will be USD55 for single-entry and USD70 for double-entry.

 Travel Tips
It is not advisable to swim in the country's rivers and dams in case of being infected with bilharzia. Tap water is safe and water in swimming pools is purified. It is also advisable to take anti-malaria tablets if you intend to visit low-lying areas such as Victoria Falls, and to check with a doctor before traveling to such areas.
