Visa Requirements

 Non-visa required from:

  1. Citizens from African members of the West African Monetary Union and the Economic Community of West African States;
  2. Citizens of Canada, Israel, Japan, Taiwan and US do not require a visa to Senegal for a 90-days stay at most.
  3. Citizens of China, Algeria, Norway and Iran who are holders of valid diplomatic and service/official passports are exempted from visa for entry.
  4. Except for Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, citizens of members of the European Union do not require a visa to Senegal for a stay of less than 90 days. Application for extended stay is not allowed, but you can apply for a residence permit from the ‘Police des Etrangers' at 08:00-12:30 of every Monday to Friday.
 

Procedures:
1> a letter addressed to the Minister of the Interior;
2> three personal photos; photocopy of your passport and birth certificate;
3> a Subject Access Form obtained from a UK police where you last resided;
4> a medical certificate issued by a Senegalese doctor

Note: Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required to show when entry. If you could not supply any proof, you may have to receive the vaccination at the airport by self-supported.

 

 Procedures of application:

  1. Two Application Forms with a passport photo for each
  2. Return ticket & invitation letter or evidence of residence (hotel);
  3. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required;
Tips: Everyone must carry some form of identity certificate (copy of passport, driving license…) when visiting Senegal at all times. The local policemen have the right of requesting your certificate without cause.
