Visa-free
The Republic of Suriname and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region singed a bilateral Visa Abolish Agreement in 1997. According to the policy, valid Surinamese passport holders and accompanying persons enjoy visa-free access when entering, leaving or passing through Hong Kong SAR if they have valid round-trip flight tickets or flight tickets to the other countries. Similarly, valid Hong Kong SAR passport holders are exempted from visa when entering, leaving or passing through Suriname if they have valid round-trip flight tickets or flight tickets to the other countries.
Travelers who will take the same flight or transfer to another flight within 24 hours are exempted from visa if they will not get out of the airport. In case the transferring time exceeds 24 hours, travelers should apply for Transit Visas when arriving at the airport and the fee is USD 10. The Transit Visa has a validity of not more than five days.
Entry Regulations
Upon entry, foreign visitors are required to show their valid visas and passports and fill in an immigration form. It is also important to note that foreign visitors should fill out their residence in Suriname.
Suriname has strict regulations on foreign exchange. When leaving, travelers are allowed to take less than USD 10,000. In case it is necessary to take more than USD 10,000, travelers should declare at the Customs; otherwise, they will be fined or the property will be confiscated.
Re-entry Permit
Single Entry-visa holders should apply for a re-entry permit when intending to visit again.
Dual Nationality
Suriname does not recognize Dual Nationality.
Please contact China Embassy in Suriname if this country's citizens will go to China.
