Bilateral Relationship between China and Kenya:
The diplomatic relationship between two countries was established on December 14th, 1963. In the early period, the two nations kept a good communication. However, after 1965, their relations became agency diplomacy. In the early 1970s, they restored the embassy relationship. In 1978, Mr. Moi was selected as the president. After that, Kenya always keeps a smooth diplomatic relationship with China. The communications between the two nation's officials increase and the two countries cooperate in many fields.

Since 1963, China has helped Kenya build Moi International Sports Center, and marsh gas pools and so on. In recent years, the trade volume between two countries goes up substantially. China exports electrical appliances, dead stocks, textiles, daily use, architectural materials, medicines, etc and imports black tea, coffee and leather products from Kenya.
